About Sonny Rollins
Theodore Walter “Sonny” Rollins is without doubt one of the greatest saxophonists ever, leaving an indelible legacy to today’s jazz giants. His melodic invention and technical fluidity are almost unparalleled – save for Charlie Parker and John Coltrane – and he is oft regarded as the lone jazz wanderer through the city streets (an image evoked in the Simpsons and elsewhere).
