The Easter Collection resurrects my soul, again and again. It takes me be back to church, back to celebrating my risen Saviour, and then back to meeting my God, oh so personally. Any day, but especially The Lord’s Day, The Easter Collection from the Nostalgia Music Catalogue raises me up to new spiritual heights.
Nostalgia Music collection is of full of choral up-lifters, classical masterpieces, and family church favorites. I’m listening to The Temple Church Choir right now and climbing Jacob’s ladder with them. Next I’ll be listening to Handel’s Messiah and standing on my toes cheering, “And He shall reign forever and ever! King of Kings and Lord of Lords!”
Then I’ll come home, to the heather fields of my Scottish Highlands and worship with the Glasgow Phoenix Choir. Oh, and it’ll be a grand Welsh Easter too! I want to walk the beaches at Llangrannog, while listening to the Morriston Orpheus Choir sing “God Bless The Prince of Wales.” But no, my Resurrection Day celebration need not end there. I still have more platters of praise awaiting my playing.
The great George Beverly Shea will be singing along with The Light of Faith Choir, and handing me Amazing Grace. Oh my, The Caravans have an Easter collection of great hymns lined up for me too? How high will they take me?
And if I’m still able, after consuming pan-fried Penbrookeshire Hake and roast Welsh lamb, I’ll listen to another disk of Easter favorites, and groan “Oh Happy Day” with the Harmonizing 4. Maybe a Victoria Sandwich and spot of Earl Grey, will top of my day? I dunno, there’s still so much Easter to listen to.
