On the morning of Thursday 7th March the Jazz world lost a pivotal figure, Kenny Ball, after succumbing to his battle with pneumonia. The Essex born Kenneth Daniel Ball was an English jazz musician, best known as the bandleader, lead trumpet player and vocalist in Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen. The band achieved their first hit ‘Samantha’ in 1961 and later that year followed it up with the successful ‘Midnight In Moscow’ reaching No. 2 on both the UK Singles Chart and the U.S Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Nostalgia Music remembers Kenny Ball with the release of Kenny Ball – Midnight in Moscow & Other Golden Hits, featuring all of the classics that celebrate his contribution to Jazz music.
