Lou Reed – The End Of An Era

It’s not everyday you find an artists who has it all. Someone who is as influential as they are individual, someone who’s art will far surpass them. There is only a handful of incredible people who can claim such things; McCartney, Dylan, Madonna and undoubtedly: Lou Reed.

Lou Reed, the man behind The Velvet Underground and tracks such as ‘Perfect Day’ and ‘Take A Walk On The Wild Side’, passed away this week from liver failure. Reed’s music has influenced countless modern artists and his imagination and vision pathed the way for a new era of music as he transcended a variety of genres from punk to electronica during  his illustrious career.

Reed will be sorely missed by music fans across the world with scores of tributes from fans and colleagues surfacing this week. Do your bit by listening to some of Reed’s work…
