The final decade of Davis’ life saw him record and release some more than questionable material, in the eyes of his hardcore fan base as well as being heavily criticised by the jazz world. This 1987 performance in Munich slammed the critics into submission proving why when it came to performing Miles Davis was still at the top of his game, featuring all the aspects of his playing style and sound that had become the focus of his later career.
Most notable 0f these was his ability to incorporate the unique cry of his Harmon muted trumpet in to cover versions of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” and Michael Jackson’s hit “Human Nature”.
