Originally the frontman of classic ’70s glam-rock band Sweet, Brian Connolly is an English singer-songwriter who achieved great fame in the early 1970s but he went to Germany to ‘change his artistic direction’ and his health/well-being markedly deteriorated.
About the songs
“Blockbuster” and “Ballroom Blitz” are legendary and iconic. They have recently featured in the soundtrack to ‘period’ detective show Life On Mars, a reminder of pop-cultural trends at the time. The other songs are still classics of their day.
