ABOUT

Jack Hylton was born in 1892 to father George who taught Jack piano in order to accompany him whilst performing in local pubs. After the First World War, Jack Hylton continued his musical career leading numerous successful bands in the British Dance Band era. He was a universal entertainer and was a key figure in the development of ITV when it first appeared in 1955.
