ABOUT
Starting life as the Five Chimes and later going on be known as Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, the vocal group from Detroit produced their first single “Got a Job” in 1958 with the New York label End Records. The group went on to achieve over forty hits in the top 40 R&B charts into the late 1970s.

Legacy
In 2008 The Tracks of My Tears was included in the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry because of its “cultural, historical and aesthetic significance” and was also chosen as one of the Top 10 Best Songs of All Time by a panel including the likes of Paul McCartney and Hal David. Additionally four of the band’s tracks were included in the Grammy Hall of Fame including Shop Around and Tears of a Clown.
Love Machine (Part One)
Released in October 1975, Love Machine (Part One) has gone onto become the group’s best selling single going platinum and hitting number one in the Billboard Hot 100 and number three in the UK singles chart.
