ABOUT Ella Fitzgerald
Also known as “The First Lady of Song”, “Queen of Jazz” and “Lady Ella”, Ella Fitzgerald is one of the pioneers of Jazz music, especially for female singers. She sold 40 million copies of more than 70 albums, within a span of 59 years. As well as this, Fitzgerald has won 13 Grammys, been awarded the National Medal of Arts by Ronald Reagan and the Presidential Medal of Freedom b George Bush. “The Queen” sadly died in June, 1996.
