ABOUT Joe Loss
Joshua Alexander “Joe” Loss (22 June 1909 – 6 June 1990), is widely considered one of the great bandleaders, composers and conductors of our time. He is best known for his work in Big Band groups and songs, but has encompassed many genres over his time in the music business.
After the death of Joe Loss in 1990, his orchestra carries on under the musical direction of Todd Miller, who was a vocalist with the band for 19 years. In 1989 Joe Loss became too ill to travel and in 1990 he entrusted the leadership solely to Todd. The orchestra has been in constant operation since 1930 and in 2010 it celebrated its 80th anniversary.
