On Wednesday the 11th of September we will find out the twelve albums and artists that will be competing for the years most coveted music award.

The Mercury Prize is notorious for its surprise winners with the likes of Adele and Amy Winehouse being pipped at the post in former years.

Two years ago we saw PJ Harvey become the first artist to win the award twice, could the Arctic Monkeys be about to replicate this achievement? London Grammar are seen as favorites for this years prize with their debut album ‘If You Wait’.

 

The ‘2013 Albums of the Year’ will be revealed at 5.30pm on Wednesday.
