Valentine’s Day – February 14th

Sealed With A KissThis Friday 14th of February will see couples around the world celebrate their love and unity as part of Valentine’s Day. Originating from the Christian festival in honour of Saint Valentine where communities would come together to exchange cards and gifts and attend church services, however these traditions have been replaced by a more commercialised celebration which is generally considered to be selling point for international companies to ‘cash in’ on.

No matter the notions of commercial incentives, Valentines day remains to be a celebration of love and happiness with many musicians trying their hand at depicting Valentines Day in their songs. Artists such as Frank Sinatra and Marvin Gaye have had their tracks saved into the ‘Valentine’s Playlist’ section on millions of loved up couples iTunes accounts with the view of setting the mood for their evening of fine dining and romance.

Here at Nostalgia Music Catalogue we’ve put together a collection of special ‘Valentine’s Edition’ albums comprising of your favourite love songs from Ella Fitzgerald, Sam Cooke and Elvis Presley to name but a few. We hope they serve as the unique soundtrack to your Valentines Day.
