Following Haley’s death, there were more than six different groups that existed under the Comets name, all claiming to be the official continuation of Haley’s group. 3 of these groups were still performing in the United States and internationally in 2008, 27 years after Haley’s death!
About Bill Haley & His Comets
Bill Haley & His Comets formed in 1952 and continued their success up until Haleys death in 1981. The band were incredibly successful especially between 1954 and ’56 where the band placed an impressive 9 singles in the top 20 charts.
