About Paul Robeson
Paul Robeson was a man of many talents with an incredibly varied career. Not only did Robeson embark on a career as a successful international singer but he was also an outstanding American football player, an actor (both screen and stage where he refused to play to a segregated audience), a political activist and also was a lawyer for a short amount of time but had to reconsider as he was met with a colossal amount of racism. Robeson was also blacklisted by the US government for standing up for the rights of black Americans at the time.
