This classic starred Charlton Heston as the lead role (Golden Globe nominated) and Yul Brynner as his adoptive brother, Pharaoh Rameses II, alongside a multi-talented supporting cast which would go on to be known as the film’s ‘cast of thousands’. Elmer Bernstein’s soundtrack exquisitely captures the film’s epic moments, which was renowned for its special effects, winning an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
